Getting there by car:
Coming from Germany or eastern Austria: Munich / Salzburg on the motorway A8 to Rosenheim, then A94 direction Kufstein, then exit the motorway at Oberaudorf (or on the A8 Bernau/Reit im Winkl) and continue on the B172 to Kössen, Walchsee, Schwendt and Rettenschöss. This route will save you paying the Austrian motorway toll.

Coming from Switzerland or western Austria: A12 direction Kufstein, then exit the motorway at Oberaudorf and continue on the B172 to Kössen, Walchsee, Schwendt and Rettenschöss.

Getting there by train:
Rail service to Kufstein or St. Johann in Tirol. From there various bus services. From Kufstein it is about another 30 km to Kaiserwinkl.
